Touch Me V&A exhibition 2005...

This exhibition was a 'unique touchable contemporary design exhibition, the aim was to enable to audience to interact and explore sensation and the pleasure of touch.

When reading about this exhibition I was mostly interested in the Sound Garden Exhibition:

An interactive garden of the senses fills the second section
of the exhibition where visitors can play games, take part in
live science experiments and engage all their senses in an
immersive sensory room. Visitors will be able to challenge
each other to a game of ‘chicken’ on the
Painstation
, play
table tennis with a difference on MIT Medialab’s
PingPongPlus
or take part in a human-scale ‘PacMan’ game using
Spacehoppers.

I like the idea of play as a tool to get the audience interested, the Pacman game using space hoppers firstly sounded baffling to be but from researching the MaKey MaKey kit I have a better understanding of how something like this could be possible.

I need to remember not to be too scientific in my approach however, and remember my aim of creating something interactive and fun to engage the viewer to take a different approach to investigating their environments.
