Eric Fischer...

This artist interested me because he used a variety of collected data, he chose to display his work through the form of maps.

"Ultimately, almost everything I have been making tries to take the dim, distant glimpse of the real world that we can see through data and magnify some aspect of it in an attempt to understand something about the structure of cities," he says.
"I don't know if that comes through at all in the actual products, but it is what they are all building toward."

"It's a simple concept, but revealing about where the edges are where people turn back and stop exploring," says Fischer.

This image (below) is one of a series of 124 maps, Fischer created called "Locals and Tourists" he created these images using geotagging, the data was collected from Flickr and picasa and it shows where locals and tourists took photos.
This work was featured at MOMA 2010 exhibition 'Talk to me'
